About the role

In this role you will be required to promote and improve access to the private rented sector in order to prevent and relieve homelessness wherever possible in line with Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 legislation. 

You will work closely with the Housing Officers and Temporary Accommodation Officer to effectively move people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness into suitable accommodation within the private sector to resolve their housing need.

About you

Passionate and motivated with a helpful and friendly ‘can do’ attitude, you’ll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be highly organised. 

You’ll be able to work well as part of a team, but also on your own initiative with a willingness to go the extra mile for our customers. 

A calm and empathetic manner along with the ability to be assertive, resilient and able to work under pressure are essential.

A valid driving licence and your own car are essential (reasonable adjustments may be possible according to the Equality Act).
