About our Apprenticeships
As an Apprentice with East Devon District Council, we will give you all the support you need to become an Electoral Services Assistant. You will learn on the job from experienced professionals and, at the same time, work towards a qualification with a view to gaining experience for a career in Electoral Services or Business administration.
About the role
You will provide administrative support to the Electoral Services section, assisting with the preparation and distribution of the register of electors and other published lists. You will also assist in the preparation and administration of elections, ensuring the highest service provision possible to ensure there are no glitches.
To be eligible you need to qualify for National Apprenticeship funding and have minimum grade “C/5“ in English and Maths and an enthusiasm for learning about us and studying towards an Level 2 in Business Administration. With a good level of computer literacy, you are reliable and flexible and committed to supporting the work of the Council. You’ll also have keen eye for detail
