Business Support and Events Administrator
£19,945 - £22,021 per annum
Full time / Fixed term up to 6 months (part time/job share considered)
East Devon is independently recognised as an outstanding place and so it follows that its council must also strive to be outstanding. Everything we do is aimed at ensuring that East Devon is a place that people want to live in, work in, visit and enjoy. Our ambition is to be an outstanding council which works together with local people to create great value services and an outstanding community, economy and environment for East Devon, now and for future generations.
About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic administrator to join a small team supporting the delivery of StreetScene’s chargeable services over the next 6 months to meet a peek in demand. The role will require effective administration of events held on Council owned land throughout the district, liaising with event organisers and other stakeholders to ensure that all relevant documentation, risk assessments and permissions are obtained. In addition, you will support administration, inspection and enforcement of matters associated with the provision of beach hut, site & sports pitch hire, boat registration, and allotments among other administrative duties. Travel throughout the district is also a feature of this role.
As a customer focused experienced administrator, you will be methodical and organised and able to plan your often conflicting workload to meet deadlines. You will be competent in the use of Microsoft Office and capable of learning other IT applications. You will be adept at communicating with people at all levels, and able to build rapport and credibility quickly. If you have a passion for delivering a professional customer focused service, the skills to maximize income collection and the experience to build and maintain excellent working relations we would be delighted to hear from you.
